Every year we have gone to see the Easter bunny at our mall. The first year we just had Langston and he didn't cry, but his picture looked more like "a deer in headlights" then "I'm really happy to see the Easter bunny" face. Last year, Langston and Emerson went to see the Easter bunny without any tears, but it wasn't the greatest picture. Even though, I didn't take them to see the Easter bunny until Good Friday and we ended up waiting for 30 minutes in line BEFORE they had eaten lunch, the picture turned out great. The kids got their token "bunny ears" from the nice lady who took our money for the picture. All-in-all, it was a pretty good day. Now on to Easter Sunday...
This year, Mommy almost ruined Easter! I felt a little naseus all day Saturday and by Saturday night, let's just sayI didn't get any better. So, Sunday morning we ended up calling Shane's sweet mother and step-dad to come get the kids. The kids got to see their Easter baskets, with me on the couch and Shane taking pictures. They hardly noticed that I was just laying there not doing anything. Shane had to leave early for band practice at church, so his parents came over right after he left, got the kids dressed in their new easter outfits, put the church and snack bags together, and took them to church with them. I know it was a lot for them, but I can not thank them enough for their help. I stayed in bed, literally all day while my family spent the better part of the day at Shane's parents. Thay have us over every Easter for lunch and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Anyway, it is not an Easter I will soon forget, but will look forward to next year's even more!
